Well, my blog friends Wendi and Heather, both in Florida, have been on alert for over a week and it appears that will not end anytime soon. Now my blog friends Nate & Tricia are on the lookout.
Hurricane Gustav hit 70 miles south and west of New Orleans on Monday morning and is now parked over Texas and upper Louisiana as a Tropical Depression. Big MISS for New Orleans, at least they prepared the people this time and they listened. Better safe than sorry.
What was Hurricane Hanna is back to Tropical Storm Hanna and headed toward the eastern coast of the US. It is thought to be headed toward Georgia and the Carolinas, hard to tell at this point however. Hopefully she'll remain a tropical storm and just send some much needed rain to the area.
Tropical Storm Ike formed on Monday, followed close by Tropical Storm Josephine. They appear to be on the same path as Hanna at the moment.
You can't escape danger no matter where you live - hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, dust storms, blizzards - no area is exempt, some have more frequency is all.
Praying that all my blog friends and the family members I have in the aforementioned target areas remain safe and sound no matter what comes their way.
